The dining table is where everyone gathers, and the light above it sets the mood. A statement pendant or cluster gives you a focal point and warm, flattering light for meals. Lighting the table
- HeightHang the pendant 75 to 90 cm above the table top.
- SizeChoose a pendant around half to two thirds of the table's width, or a linear light two thirds of its length.
- Round tablesA single large pendant or cluster centred over the table.
- DimmerA dimmer lets you go from homework to dinner party.
Questions we get asked
What size pendant suits my dining table?
Roughly half to two thirds of the table's width. For a 1 m wide table, a 50 to 65 cm pendant.
Can I hang several pendants over a dining table?
Yes. Two or three smaller pendants evenly spaced work well over long tables.
What colour light is best for dining?
Warm white, 2700K to 3000K, makes food and faces look their best.
