LED Mirrors
An LED mirror gives you soft, even light right where you need it, whether you're shaving, doing make-up or just getting ready, and a demister keeps it clear after a hot shower. We stock round, rectangular and arch LED mirrors from Ablaze, Aulic, Thermogroup and Mercator.
Choosing an LED mirror
- WidthMatch the vanity width or go slightly narrower. For double vanities, one wide mirror or two mirrors both work.
- Light colourTri-colour mirrors switch between warm and cool white. Cooler light is better for make-up.
- DemisterWell worth it in any bathroom without a big window.
- PowerMost are hardwired by an electrician, so plan the wiring point before tiling.
Questions we get asked
Do LED mirrors need to be hardwired?
Most do, and that needs a licensed electrician. Plan the cable position behind the mirror before the wall is tiled.
How high should a bathroom mirror hang?
Centre the mirror at about eye height for the people who use it most, usually around 1.6 to 1.7 m from the floor, with the bottom edge clear of the tap.
Can an LED mirror replace my vanity light?
Often, yes. A good backlit mirror lights your face more evenly than a downlight overhead.
