Do smart switches need a neutral wire?
Some do and some don't. Older homes often don't have a neutral at the switch, so check the listing or ask your electrician before you buy.
Can I mix smart home brands?
You can, but you'll end up juggling apps. Sticking to one system, or ones that share a voice assistant, keeps things simple.
Do I need an electrician to install smart switches?
Yes. Anything that replaces a wall switch or power point must be installed by a licensed electrician in Australia. Smart globes and plugs are DIY.
